Detergent types: powder, liquid, pods

Steps

  1. 1

Powder: cheapest, best on mud and clay, but needs warm water to dissolve fully.

  2. 2

Liquid: best on grease and oil, dissolves in cold water, easy to use as a pretreat.

  3. 3

Pods: convenient and pre-measured, but you cannot adjust the dose for small loads. Never cut one open.

  4. 4

Use less than you think — extra detergent stays in the fabric and makes clothes stiff and dull.

  5. 5

Store all of them dry, sealed and out of reach of children.
