How to dust

Steps

   Always dust before you vacuum and before you do floors — dust falls down.

   Start high: mouldings, tops of frames, light fittings, fan blades, corners.

   Use a slightly damp microfibre cloth, not a dry feather duster. Damp holds dust; dry throws it into the air.

4. 4

   Lift objects, dust under them, and put them back. Do not dust around them.

5. 5

   Work around the room in one direction so you always know where you have been.

6. 6

   Finish with points of contact: switches, handles, remotes, phone chargers.
