Steps
- 1
Fill with distilled water and let the steamer heat fully before it touches fabric.
- 2
Hang the garment straight; a hanger on a door frame works.
- 3
Hold the head lightly against the fabric and work from the top down, pulling the hem taut with your other hand.
- 4
Steam the inside of thick fabrics for a faster result.
- 5
Keep the hose from kinking, and never steam over metal or plastic fittings.
- 6
Leave the garment hanging until fully dry before it goes in a wardrobe.
Steam is best for delicate, structured or beaded items that must never meet a hot iron plate.
