Steps

   Switch the light off and let the bulbs cool.

   Use a proper step ladder on a flat floor. Never stand on a stair tread, a chair or a banister.

   Dust with the vacuum dust brush or a microfibre duster, working top to bottom.

4. 4

   Glass drops: glass cleaner on the cloth, wipe each piece, then dry. Never spray up into a fitting.

5. 5

   Vacuum or mop the floor underneath afterwards — the dust lands there.

Safety first: if you cannot reach it from a stable ladder on a flat floor, leave it and tell your manager.
