Cleaning electronics safely (TV, remotes)

Steps

1. 1

   Power off and unplug where you can. Never spray liquid at a screen.

   Screens: dry flat-weave microfibre only, straight lines top to bottom. Electronics cleaner on the cloth only if smears remain.

   Remotes: cotton bud or cleaning toothbrush between the buttons, then wipe with a barely damp cloth and dry.

   Vents and cable ports: vacuum dust brush, never a wet cloth.

5. 5

   Wipe cables from the plug outward and coil them tidily.

Screens hate everything except dry microfibre. If in doubt, dry cloth only.
