Cleaning a CD/DVD

Steps

   Hold the disc by its edges and the centre hole only.

   Wipe with a dry flat-weave microfibre from the centre straight out to the edge.

3. 3

   Never wipe in circles — that scratches along the data track.

4. 4

   For sticky marks, barely damp the cloth with water, wipe centre-out, then dry the same way.

5. 5

   Store back in its case rather than face-down on a surface.
