   Group like with like: tools, cleaning stock, seasonal, sports.

   Heavy items low, light items high, frequently used at the front.

   Keep chemicals separated from food, linens and anything a child could reach.

   Do not throw anything away without asking — put doubtful items in one clearly visible pile.

   Leave a clear walkway from the door in.
