Cleaning ducts and vents

Steps

1. 1

   Vents only — this is dusting, not HVAC servicing. Never open ductwork.

   Vacuum the grille with the dust brush attachment.

3. 3

   Unscrew the cover only if it is easy and safe; wash it in warm soapy water and dry it fully.

4. 4

   Vacuum as far into the visible opening as the attachment reaches.

5. 5

   Refit the cover and wipe the wall or ceiling around it.
