   Greet the client, confirm today's priorities and anything off-limits.

   Put your shoes or shoe covers to the company standard and set your kit down on a hard surface, never on soft furnishings.

   Walk the house quickly to plan your order and spot anything already damaged — flag it before you start.

   Open curtains and blinds, switch on lights so you can see dust.

   Start pretreating the wet rooms first so products are working while you clean elsewhere.
