   Clear cups, clothes and rubbish; clothes into the hamper, not folded away unless asked.

   Dust the bedside tables, dresser and headboard with a damp cloth.

   Wipe switches, handles and the lamp base.

   Vacuum the visible floor, including beside the bed.
