- Tub-and-tile cleaner
- Toilet bowl cleaner + brush
- Glass cleaner
- 2 general microfibre cloths + 1 flat-weave cloth
- Cleaning toothbrush
- Paper towels, white vinegar
- Vacuum with brush attachment, fresh bin liner
Steps
- 1
Pretreat the shower tiles — take out bottles, soap and accessories first.
- 2
Clear the floor: clothes, hampers, rugs, bins, baskets. Put them just outside the door.
- 3
Pretreat the toilet (see the toilet entry).
- 4
Dust high: mouldings, corners, wall fixtures and the exhaust fan. Lights off while high dusting.
- 5
Clean the mirror.
- 6
Clean the vanity top and the accessories on it.
- 7
Clean the shower tiles, then pretreat the tub.
- 8
Clean the toilet.
- 9
Clean the tub, then rinse and dry both tub and tiles.
- 10
Pretreat the sink area.
- 11
Dust and straighten, wipe points of contact (handles, switches, taps), change the bin bag, wipe the skirting.
- 12
Clean the sink.
- 13
Clean the floors — sweep or vacuum, then mop.
- 14
Put the clean items you removed back in the room.
Pretreating is what saves your arms. Spray, move on, come back — let the product do the scrubbing.
